Links to the public school districts and to some of the private schools --- independent and parochial --- in Ventura County. The district links will give you links to specific school websites, as well as to information about the district --- location, population, kinds of schools, activities, athletics, and mission statements. In the bottom box, there are links to state and national organizations devoted to schooling.


Page Two:    Professional Organizations for Teachers

Links to organizations devoted to the teaching of specific academic disciplines. Most of these organizations have journals devoted to the teaching of the discipline, annual national meetings, and occasional regional meetings. All have many links to lessons, activities, and learning opportunities for teachers.


Page Three:    Lesson Plans on the Web

Links to several pages devoted to the collection of lesson plans, both for the multiple subjects taught in elementary school classrooms and for the single subjects taught in secondary school classrooms. Some have been developed by classroom teachers and some by professional organizations. Some assume only the ordinary resources of the typical public school classroom and some assume the ability to connect to the internet. Almost all are either usable as is or useful as prompts for your own creativity.
